ABOUT ME

Spencer Catalano is currently a senior at the University of Pittsburgh majoring in Communications and working towards a certificate in Public & Professional Writing. Over the past four years, it has been a true challenge for him to find a post-graduation career that he enjoyed. Until he began working at the University’s radio station, WPTS Radio, during his junior year. As a result, he was able to meet new people who also shared his love for sports, and caused him to start watching sports on a much deeper level, only elevating his appreciation for all sports. Taking a position there allowed him to take my passion for sports and transform it in a way that translates his thoughts to an audience that appreciates the beauty of sports as much as he does. Since joining the station, he has had the opportunity to contribute to weekly shows and discuss the hottest topics in sports, as well as continuing to refine my craft as an on-air personality. In addition, he has also been able to commentate basketball, baseball, and soccer games to expand his broadcasting repertoire. Speaking of the future, post-graduation he intends to find a job working in radio and improving the production of his podcast, The Cat’s Outta the Bag, in order to naturally improve his ability to analyze sports topics.
